Roxas City is known to be the Seafood Capital of the Philippines, because of the abundance of marine life. "Seafood Capital of the Philippines." This environment-friendly city is home to one of the richest fishing grounds in the country.
Roxas City, Capiz formed Dugo Capiznon Inc. It’s goal was to promote Capiz as a tourist destination while shaking the negative “aswang stigma”. To do this, they decided to hold an annual “Aswang Festival”, which was a huge success.
Sinadya sa Halaran Festival is the joint festival of the City of Roxas and the Province of Capiz. It is a mixed festival in that it is celebrated for both cultural and religious reasons. It is celebrated every first weekend of December in commemoration of the Feast of the Virgin of the Immaculate Concepcion who also happens to be the patroness of the City of Roxas.
The sundown parade of lights will feature three-dimensional giant floats decorated with colorful light bulbs from Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center (DRCC) premises to Baybay Beach here. The parade will pass through the long stretch of Arnaldo Boulevard here.
Olotayan Island is an island of legend. The name is a combination of olo (“head”) and “tyan” (stomach), as a Capiz legend tells of a cruel giant whose body the anitos (gods) struck with lightning, scattering his body parts all over the sea. Nearer to Roxas’ shore is Mantalinga Island – reportedly the giant’s “mata” (eyes) and “talinga” (ears).
Gigantes Island, also known as Islas de Gigantes or the islands of giants, is a remote group of islands located off the coast of Carles and Estancia towns in northeastern Iloilo,Philippines. It takes at least 5 hours to get there from Iloilo City.
Agtalin Shrine, has a 85-feet tall statue of Miraculous Medal is considered as the highest Marian statue in Asia. Thousands of devotees flocks every 1st Saturday of the month to Agtalin Hill located at Brgy Dulangan, Pilar, Capiz. You can appreciate the fresh air on top. There are 185 steps of stairs before you could reach the top.

Sta. Monica Church One of the oldest churches in the country, is made of coral stone and fashioned in Baroque style. The church is a National Historical landmark. It also houses the biggest Catholic church bell in Asia, the Dako nga Lingganay (big bell). It was made of 70 sacks of gold and silver coins. The bell measures five feet tall and seven feet wide and weighs 10,400 kilograms.
Pangilatan Falls, is located in Brgy. Artuz, Tapaz, Capiz is composed of a main waterfalls which has a water drop off of about 81 ft., countless mini falls whose water drop offs are between less than a foot to as high as 7 ft., the total length of which is at least 3.5 kms and could go as far as 8 kms; and a viewing area on the highest point of Brgy. Artuz where one could see the rolling hills and mountains of Tapaz and neighboring towns as far as Calinog, Iloilo in the south and Libacao, Aklan in the north, which could rival the famous chocolate hills of Bohol.
Lighthouse near the Philippine Coast Guard Station in Barangay Culasi. Lighthouse is meant to guideseafarers at night but the city government here sees it as another tourist spot. One Capiz, a group of concerned Capiceños, with the help of the Roxas City government aims to beautify the Culasi lighthouse and its surroundings.
